Researcher - Product Experience (Growth)

The Role

The Product Experience Research team is central in uncovering compelling ways to engage and entertain our global members. This Research role supports Growth, which strives to better attract new members to Netflix and explore new monetization opportunities worldwide. Specifically, this role will focus on how to combine various content types within our user experience to offer more value to our members.

This is an opportunity to lead innovative research with demonstrable impact on a global scale. You will be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, and socializing research studies that generate insights to empower business decisions across the company. You'll partner with cross-functional teams passionate about delivering the most engaging, innovative, and inclusive experiences.

In this role, you will:


About you:

  • Experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research informing growth and monetization strategy. Experience supporting digital subscription or video entertainment businesses preferred. Experience in 0-1 product innovation is also preferred.
  • Mixed methods research expertise including hands-on experience leading end-to-end quantitative and qualitative UX research studies. Usability research experience required.
  • A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
  • Strong communicator with a bias toward action to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the company.
  • Passionate about translating findings into actionable strategic business recommendations.
  • Global research experience is preferred but not required.


Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $130,000 - $470,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
