Position Summary

Sony Corporation of America is seeking a part-time Production Assistant in Culver City, CA. The Junior Production Assistant will support Sony's dedicated director to assist with photography and video capturing of talents and his/her performance in all aspects of 3D content production. This role involves ensuring efficient communication with crew members and providing support to talents, such as costume fixes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a runner, delivering messages and items to crew members and cast.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and ensure production supplies are stocked.
  • Provide support to directors and technical members.
  • Participate in creative discussions, report production challenges, and contribute ideas for future improvements.

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in film, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Game/Film/TV production, either through internships, volunteer work, or entry-level positions, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and familiarity with production software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time: Fixed term for one year / Onsite for 2 weeks a month, 8 hours per day (hour/shift time negotiable)
  • Compensation: $20-25 per hour.

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
