Essential Job Functions

  • Serves as Department liaison with the IT Department, including for website updates, the installation and maintenance of EnerGov, project management and customer relationship management software.
  • Provide guidance and support to new staff by assisting with departmental onboarding processes, familiarizing them with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures, as well as facilitating training sessions with software and the coordination through the IT Department.
  • Maintains record of department SOPs, applications and their updates.
  • Assists management staff, as directed by the department head.
  • Coordinates and manages special departmental projects.
  • Assists in the development and installation of management systems, forms, and procedures.
  • Confers with department to determine technical requirements.
  • Assist the department with the development of technology objectives based on the City’s Strategic Plan.
  • Research, records, and tabulates in formation as required.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, Information Systems or related field of study.

OR

An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Skills

  • Good knowledge of computer project and work management applications.
  • Good knowledge of research methodology and report preparation.
  • Ability to express oneself effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, department administrators and the public.
