About the position

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for required plating operations
  • Mask parts as required per operational sketch
  • Rack parts as required for plating process
  • Follow plating process per plating specification
  • Use a variety of hand tools
  • Read and interpret process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions
  • Monitor dimensional tolerances and make process adjustments as necessary
  • Dimensionally inspect parts to print specification and other requirements
  • Report non-conforming material via established process
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.)
  • Maintain work area to 5S requirements
  • Complete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities at required intervals
  • Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage
  • Identify and report process inefficiencies, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals
  • Obtain and maintain required inspection certification(s)
  • Finish parts that meet NADCAP requirements
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with basic hand tools
  • Experience with computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications)
  • Experience with mathematical calculations, including adding and subtracting decimals
  • Experience with reading, interpreting and following blueprints
