Position Responsibilities
- Maintain NDT equipment by keeping tests running during production
- Rebuilding broken testers and equipment offline
- Maintaining parts inventory and vendor relations with Magnetic Analysis
- Ordering lease parts and equipment
- Olympus parts, probes and calibration of equipment
- GE portable UT and calibration of equipment
- New product development
- Conduct testing studies, end suppression studies, and capability studies
- Conduct NDT workcenter Audits and NDT W.C. weekly
- Write month end reports
Required Education and Skills
- High School Diploma required and coursework in Quality Assurance or related field desired.
- Prior experience or an internship in metals manufacturing and familiarity with ISO and QS 9000 standards a plus.
- Prior experience with Non-Destructive Testing, specifically Eddy Current and Ultrasonic testing, a plus.
- Working knowledge of TS, including experience with audit teams to verify conformance Quality Management System requirements.
- Effective, skillful, trouble shooter and problem solver with an analytical mind and strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Must have effective communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office including strong Access skills
- Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to think ahead, work on own, and the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Highly motivated self-driven individual with a strong desire to succeed and eager to enhance knowledge and skills through on-going education and development.
- Must be creative, inquisitive, analytical, and detail oriented with a mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in a project team environment.
- Excellent technical writing skills with the proven ability to write technical reports and procedures for internal documentation.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis. May require additional hours of work, as required.
- Requires full range of body motion to include: lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, and squatting.
- Position requires frequent walking and/or standing on concrete floor while wearing steel-toed shoes. May walk up to two (2) miles per shift while performing essential duties.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- May require unassisted lifting of a variety of objects from various positions, which range in weight from 5 to 50 pounds with an average weight of 34-37 pounds.
- Utilizes a variety of hand positions such as turning and twisting.
- The job is fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
Webco has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.
Typical Working Conditions:
- Time is divided between an indoor office environment and the manufacturing area of the facility.
- The office environment is typically temperature controlled and clean, with normal air contaminants, such as dust, typically found in an office environment.
- The manufacturing environment has regular exposure to loud and prolonged noise.
- Regular exposure to hot temperatures of 95º F to 110º F in the summer due to the combination of the actual outside temperature and heat from the processes inside the facility. Employees are also exposed to cold temperatures, which is dependent on the actual outside temperature.
- While in the manufacturing area, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields and steel toed work shoes.
