What You’ll Do

Software Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Take ownership of software delivery by evaluating metrics, identifying areas to enhance, and refining processes as a team.
- Facilitate and participate in team ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, retrospectives) to drive collaboration and agile best practices.

- Identify gaps in technical or agile methodologies and suggest experiments or adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Challenge the status quo constructively, testing alternatives that may yield greater business value or insights.

Technical Development
- Engage in hands-on coding and technical design discussions, focusing on iterative, emergent architecture.
- Advocate for best practices (e.g., pair programming, Test-Driven Development) and maintain software quality through code reviews.

- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure alignment on goals, features, and timelines.

All You’ll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in at least one object-oriented language.
- Experience with at least one web framework (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core).
- Proficiency with SQL and designing relational database schemas.
- Ability to navigate Linux/Unix environments and shell commands.
- Familiarity with application security practices to ensure code meets security standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building enterprise-scale, distributed systems.
- Knowledge of source control systems and continuous integration/deployment environments.
- Exposure to an Agile methodology (Extreme Programming, Kanban, Scrum) and related best practices.
- Product experience with techniques like Test-Driven Development, the Testing Pyramid, and concurrency/multithreading.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify complex processes or designs while maintaining performance and reliability.
Senior Role Considerations
We may consider a Senior Developer position if you meet four or more of the following criteria:
- Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized teams (5–25 developers).
- Background as a founding engineer or key player in a technology startup.
- Previous experience in architecture, product ownership/management, or relevant business roles.
- Production DevOps experience, including building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
- Proficiency in advanced Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Full Stack Development expertise.
- Proven experience with some of the following technologies:

- Function as a Senior Developer, influencing technical direction and ensuring best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Enhance existing systems while designing new features or applications.
- Tackle debugging, performance profiling, and optimization challenges.
- Maintain rigorous code quality through peer reviews, TDD, and refactoring as needed.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and associated frameworks.
- Solid grasp of best practices for secure, scalable software development.
