Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: 124 Main Street Bucksport, Maine (On-Site)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our office in Bucksport and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and proven QuickBooks experience.

This position is ideal for college students or those seeking flexible part-time work. For the right candidate, it offers the potential to develop into an internship with expanded responsibilities and opportunities to gain valuable business experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer as needed
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
  • Manage and maintain filing systems (digital and physical) for accuracy and accessibility
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general office communications
  • Assist with scheduling, document preparation, and various administrative projects as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Required)
  • Strong file management and organizational skills (Required)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior administrative or office support experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Positive Attitude, Professional appearance and attire consistent with a “dress for success” standard

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time with flexible options:

~4 hours/day, Monday–Thursday OR two 8-hour days per week

  • Competitive hourly compensation, based on experience
