Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support in daily living activities for individuals who require assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is essential in providing both personal care and companionship, while also managing various household tasks.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide patient care, including monitoring health conditions and administering first aid when necessary.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Help with heavy lifting and mobility assistance as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to promote emotional well-being.
  • Respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Offer direct support in hospice care or home health settings when needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in patient care or as a personal assistant is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques is beneficial.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
