For over 75 years, Electronic Engineering has been the electronics and communication specialist people depend on. We specialize in two-way radios sales and service, security systems, enterprise camera systems, fleet management GPS, public safety and wireless communications.

We are looking for a Customer Service and Office Support Specialist in our Sioux City Branch. This person would have a high attention to detail, be a muti-tasker with strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and a team player.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service and Office Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the branch manager and employees through a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of the office.

  • Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry, calendar management, and order entry.
  • Manage office operations, including filing, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Working with inventory to order and receive customer equipment as well as office supplies.
  • Receive in equipment from manufacturers and enter serial numbers into customer invoices and accounting software.
  • Assist in the staging and organizing of projects when inventory arrives.
  • Communicate with customers through phone calls or emails.
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with customer service inquiries and provide information about products or services.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as creating, tracking, and overall handling of invoices.
  • Receive and apply incoming payments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle it with utmost professionalism.
  • Receiving and direct visitors.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Assist in the staging and organizing of projects when inventory arrives.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, AA degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of office administration or related experience.
  • Extensive software skills, internet research abilities and strong communication skills are required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Work, Excel).
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with order entry systems or inventory management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of file management systems and ability to maintain organized records.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Base pay is commensurate with experience.
  • Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with a 1-hour, unpaid lunch.
