Job Overview
Smarter Home is a leading consumer product company that designs, manufactures and sells motorized storage solutions used in residential garages. Most of these products are DIY installed by our customers, and are smart phone controlled. We strive to provide amazing products with the best customer experience in our market.

We are seeking to expand our customer service team with some part time, flexible positions working 25-30 hours per week. We can work around school schedules, and make adjustments as needed. Work will be performed in office, in our South Provo location, during the hours of 9am-6pm.

The ideal candidate will be hard working and customer focused. If you have some background with tools, and some knowledge of how garages are framed that is a plus!

This position will primarily consist of responding to incoming customer service tickets, with both written and call based responses. you will be helping people with DIY installation, using the product, trouble shooting problems, and finding solutions when things need to be repaired or replaced.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical issues with home automation products, offering solutions and guidance as needed.
  • Provide product information and support to customers, including demonstrating the features and benefits of our products.
  • Use our wiki to quickly learn how to support our customers, with training from our head of customer service as needed.
  • Be on time and reliable with your scheduled hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience, with a focus on technology and home automation products preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot product issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer software and technology, including CRM systems.

This is an hourly, part time position where all of your compensation will be from your hourly rate. Our employees purchase their own health insurance, retirement plans etc. This could turn into full time, long term work for the right person.
