Job Posting: FSC Program Director, Shack Neighborhood House, Morgantown, WV

The Shack Neighborhood House is now seeking a FSC Program Director who can honor our mission of serving families in western Monongalia County. This position will manage the delivery and oversight of Family Support Center programming with focus to strengthen parenting skills, connect families to local resources, build social support and promote stable, healthy relationships.

The Shack has been serving families in Monongalia County for over 90 years, providing school-age care, summer and aquatics programs, tutoring, and a growing food program for families and children. FSC Program Director works with the Shack Neighborhood House team members to ensure compliance with goals and objectives established by the Shack Neighborhood House Organization. This team member communicates effectively in writing, orally and via telephone with all levels of personnel, clientele and visitors. Inputs and retrieves computerized data as well as maintains bookkeeping responsibilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

I. Management and Supervision Responsibilities

· Provide Oversight and program support to the FSC Programs: Respite, Father’s Hand, Family Fun, Food Pantry, Adventurous Girls, Play Group, and Happy School

¡ Manage FSC staff and if applicable Americorp/volunteer schedules

¡ Work closely with FSC Program staff, Office Manager, Facility Manager and other leadership staff to ensure program/participant needs are identified and addressed.

¡ Conducts Monthly 1:1 and group staff meetings as required.

¡ Assist with open job postings and interviews to ensure sufficient staff are available to complete services and activities as outlined.

II. Develop and Maintain FSC Programs

¡ Assist with the collaborative growth and involvement of programs and agencies as identified by the Community Collaborative Council.

¡ Develop and maintain contact with families involved in FSC programs.

¡ Develop and maintain relationships with other agencies and providers.

III. Volunteer Coordination

¡ Recruit and supervise volunteers for the FSC Program.

¡ Assist with volunteer training and onboarding completion.

¡ Supervise Americorp, Vista members, Work Study and/or Program Interns

¡ Establish an advisory council that includes meaningful parent representation, engagement and leadership development. Provide oversight to ensure quarterly meetings are conducted and documented.

IV. Implementation and Updating of Current ‘Workplan’

¡ Implement, execute, and adhere to all assignments, activities, and guidelines of the FSC- Mobility Mentoring, Parenting Classes, Support Groups, Child Development Activities, and pantry services.

¡ Through oversight and guidance maintain relationships with all community collaborators

¡ Prepare all quarterly substantive state reports as outlined

¡ Oversee management of the data collection system with monthly review for accurate entries. Staff training and oversight will be ongoing.

¡ Assist with grant writing and research regarding increase of program funding

¡ Participate in Strategic Planning and updated to policies and procedures manuals.

V. Community Outreach

¡ Identify and participate in relevant community activities.

¡ Attend DHHR-DOHS Collaborative meetings, Regional quarterly, FSC Association and monthly supervisor meetings.

¡ Recruit new program participants and assist with intake process as needed.

¡ Refer clients to community programs and provide oversight that documentation is completed as outlined.

¡ Foster new relationships and improve existing relationships with private financial donors.

¡ Help Manage the Google Calendar, Facebook, and other outreach materials.

· Build collaborative network and secure MOU’s with partner organizations

VI. Internal Communication and Collaboration

¡ Provide The Shack -Programs and Property Committee with relevant information and updates at their committee meetings.

¡ Coordinate communication between the state, agency, community partners and the Collaborative Council.

¡ Assist with Collaborative Council meetings, including establishing date, time, and location and inviting attendees.

¡ Provide Advisory Council with progress reports and results-based analyses of the Starting Points initiatives.

¡ Ensure program communication and identified needs are addressed

¡ Communicate calendar, activities, and concerns with the Shack Director

VII. Public Relations and External Communication

¡ At all times, exude professionalism and respect, to maintain the reputation currently enjoyed by the Shack Neighborhood House.

¡ Assist with promotional materials, including but not limited to press releases, brochures, scrapbooks, videos, and display boards.

VIII. Funding Acquisition, Reporting, and Accountability

¡ Conduct surveys and hold forums to gauge the satisfaction of families served by the FSC. Assess results, and if necessary, adjust programming to meet the needs expressed by clients.

¡ Assist with data management system for FSC clients with intake oversight

¡ Complete Vista and Americorp Grants and Pursue alternative sources of funding.

¡ Attend all mandatory meetings to comply with the rules and regulations of all funding sources (i.e. grants).

¡ Compile regular and goal activities and evaluation documentation for quarterly/annual reports for DHHR/DOHS.

¡ Develop and track outcome measurements for the FSC as required for attainment of various grants.

¡ Participate meaningfully in the development and execution of the program budget and submit reports in accordance with grant outlined timelines.

¡ Attend weekly meetings with financial officer and/or ED for budget review and program oversight.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, public administration, or a similar field required. MSW preferred. 5+ years financial administration experience, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Work, Excel and PowerPoint. Budgeting experience and work with grants is preferred. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional evening or weekend requirements

Work Location: In person

Accountability: Reports to the Executive Director

Pay Rate: $45,000- $50,000 per year- Salary with health insurance, PTO and Holiday pay
