Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and making salads
  • Serve meals to residents based on dietary requirements and portion sizes
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and dining areas
  • Follow food safety protocols and sanitation practices
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Prior experience in food service or kitchen settings is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as a team
  • Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and remain standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods
  • Capable of performing routine, repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to work in environments with food and cleaning products
  • A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is necessary, following State or County regulations
  • Residency within the service region is required
