Position Summary
This position is responsible to maintain a safe operating environment and preserve product quality while loading finished dairy products as assigned. Assist with all general warehouse and shipping and receiving functions. Assist with all general warehouse duties in a manner that supports the achievement of the company's vision, mission and values.
Essential Functions

  • Understand and practice VQ's expectations as they relate to Safety, Quality, Service, Value and Teamwork.
  • Load/unload scheduled outbound/inbound trucks with finished product and production materials following applicable SOPs.
  • Transfer and load of finished product inventory in designated locations including the satellite warehouse.
  • Receive and store knockdowns, cheese making supplies, ingredients and general freight in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with all warehouse and shipping functions including adhering to the daily shipping and receiving schedules, accurate RF scanning, proper product labeling and general upkeep of warehouse areas and equipment.
  • Complete proper documentation to ensure accuracy of all truckloads and LTL loads.
  • Perform and sign-off on all assigned POMs.
  • Comply with all company safety rules to achieve no injuries and no lost-time accidents.
  • Understand and adhere to all GMPs and food safety policies and procedures and perform all work in a manner that ensures the highest standard of food safety and quality.
  • Attend and/or complete required safety and quality training sessions by the assigned deadlines.
  • Complete all trailer inspections per quality procedures.
  • If the operator possesses and maintains a valid CDL that Valley Queen utilizes. (+$1/hr)

    This position has no supervisory responsibility but may assist in the training of new employees in the department.
    Work Environment
    This job operates in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature variation, chemical transportation, forklift operation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Schedule and hours of work to be determined.
    Required Education, Experience & Certifications
    Maintain forklift certification.
    Additional Eligibility Qualifications
    Minimum age requirement is 18. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
