Job Summary
We are seeking a positive, ambitious Warehouse laborer & Scrap Metal Handler to join our team!

As a Warehouse Associate and Scrap Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of jobs around the warehouse, including taking in/purchasing scrap metal scrap metal materials assuring they purchased at the correct grade on our state of the art scrap metal purchasing software and staging the scrap metal materials at the correct locations in and around the warehouse.

You will also assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment which also includes removing/cleaning/prepping heavy or bulky scrap metal for resale, emptying bins/barrels of scrap metals , and staging incoming scrap metal materials away in their proper place awaiting loading into dumpsters/trailers for resale shipping.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse type environment, doing various duties that are all part of scrap metal sorting/preparing for resale, comfortable working on their feet all day, working in all types of weather and temperatures and and has previous experience with hand work, power tools and machinery / forklifts.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times
  • Wear mandatory PPE at all times as required
  • Purchase/Receive incoming scrap metal materials and ensure they are staged it their proper within the warehouse
  • Process scrap needed for resale per supervisor.
  • Overall assist with the success of the team and the warehouse with direction from the warehouse manager
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a metal working or similar environment desired
  • Background knowledge in scrap metals
  • Strong attention to detail in sorting scrap metals
  • The ability to work well within a team and take direction
  • Previous experience with hand / power tools and machinery desired
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour



About us
Scrap metal recycling company located in Stockertown, PA. We purchase ALL grades of scrap metals to be reprocessed in our yard and then resold / repurposed to steel mills/foundries all around the globe. We also own and operate our own fleet of trucks, trailers and roll-off dumpster trucks to help your business/job site move your scrap metal safely back to our yard for processing.
