About the role

We are looking for a strategic leader who is passionate about their craft, who is infinitely curious about the nuances and emotional benefits of fandom, and who brings experience building remarkable campaigns. You will lead brand expansion, drive Crunchyroll deeper into the pop culture ecosystem, while servicing our devoted, rapidly-growing, and ever-changing fan base.

You are a natural leader who organically operates with a lens to the bigger picture, and is obsessed with cultural impact as much as operational excellence. You will bring inspiration and guidance to our brand work, ensuring impact and delivery of our goals. You will create lasting impact on the Crunchyroll brand, our business and most importantly, the global anime fan experience.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Global Brand Marketing.

Hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA.

Core Responsibilities

  • Global Brand Campaign Strategy and Execution
  • Strategic Lead for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards
  • Mascot Strategy and team leadership
  • Manage top tier global agency relationships
  • Lead and mentor a team. Influence hundreds of others across both Marketing and greater Crunchyroll team.

About You

  • 12+ years of experience building and launching world class brand marketing campaigns that fuel passion, fandom and conversation
  • Deep understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing
  • Have fluency developing and executing comprehensive campaign strategies
  • Experience leading a team and cross-functional efforts, tapping into channel teams to execute on an overall strategic vision
  • Strong grasp of brand strategy and the ability to develop marketing messages about a product offering or series that ladder up to the master brand
  • You have a lot of experience with paid campaigns, and you understand how to extend those campaigns to PR, O+O, and social media
  • Have knowledge of Anime and its influence on culture.

Crunchyroll Brand Marketing and Strategy is a small-but-mighty team with influence across the entire organization. We oversee the core articulation of the Crunchyroll Brand, and bring that to life in the hearts and minds of the anime community.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
