<strong>DEER ISLE - STONINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM GRADE 5 TEACHER<br><br></strong><strong> <br><br></strong><strong><em>Opening 25-26<br><br></em></strong><strong> <br><br></strong><strong>Job Highlights<br><br></strong>DISES is a small, rural elementary school serving approximately 250 students from preschool through eighth grade. Located in Deer Isle, Maine, this is a beautiful coastal community, just east of Penobscot Bay along the Eggemoggin Reach. In our work and in our personal lives, we are fortunate to take advantage of the picturesque beaches, trails and historical landmarks on the island.<br><br><strong> <br><br></strong>We prioritize social and emotional development of students by fostering positive relationship building and are working to create a school culture that balances empathy and accountability. The classroom experience is designed to inspire engagement, ensure growth and promote social and academic learning. We have extensive nature trails, an active garden/greenhouse program, a vibrant after school program, and a state of the art performing arts center.
