A Juvenile Justice Technician's work with delinquent adolescents in the following types of environments:</div><ul><li style="text-align: left;">Short- and long-term secure confinement</li><li style="text-align: left;">Multi-use facilities</li><li style="text-align: left;">Community-based programs</li></ul><div style="text-align: left;"><strong>Principal Duties</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align: left;">Assists in planning programs for youth, counsels youth under supervision, and provides direct care, supervision, and control of youth in secure, multi-use and related facilities</li><li style="text-align: left;">Works under moderate supervision with delinquent adolescents in short and long term secure confinement, observation, and assessment settings, in multi-use facilities or community based programs.</li><li style="text-align: left;">Oversees delinquent youth in group settings, individual encounters, visitations and community involvement activities.</li><li style="text-align: left;">Schedules activities and resolves potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and or the public.</li><li style="text-align: left;">Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.</li><li style="text-align: left;">Coordinates and refers services of community resources, placement providers, collateral agencies, the court, and/or other community partners with families, clients, or patients receiving services.</li><li style="text-align: left;">Assists full time staff in identifying and applying appropriate security, safety, and/or control intervention techniques or devices to secure people, facilities, property, supplies or equipment</li><li style="text-align: left;">Communicates information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing</li></ul><div style="text-align: left;"><strong>The Ideal Candidate</strong><br>We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys being challenged while working with troubled youth.
