Juniper And Lu in Snohomish, WA is looking for one lead barista/ ice cream server to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 923 1st St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.

Juniper and Lu Ice Cream and Espresso is looking for a full time shift leader. You must have open availability and must be able to work flexible shifts.


We are looking for someone to start LATE AUGUST


Individual will oversee daily operations of the café, selling ice cream and drinks to customers. Will also work with vendors to train employees.


Varying responsibilities, including:


Helping customers

Responsible for helping customers in the ice cream shop; scooping ice cream, making sundaes and espresso drinks



Training and coaching Staff

Train staff on new items we are offering. Make sure items we are serving is up to quality standards



Managing Inventory

Responsible for making toppings and waffle cones. Also responsible for counting the existing stock of items and helping manager place orders for items. Responsible for accepting shipments of food and supplies, verifying that the correct varieties and the number of items have been sent, and organizing the inventory in the café.



Handling Finances

Maybe responsible for reconciling at the daily funds coming in from sales, prepares bank deposits, reconciles till at the end of day. Or working with lead on schedule to make sure that deposits and tills are balanced at the end of.



Core skills


Develop and make menu items such as brownies, cake and toppings for sundaes and cones


Serving customers ice cream and espresso


Capable of developing staff, as well as attracting exceptional people.


Must be an inspiring leader who shows genuine care for employees while holding them accountable to goals.


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage and work alongside a diverse team.



Advanced skills


Interest in developing menu items and ice cream flavors


Experience in making espresso drinks is a bonus, but training will be provided
