Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about marketing and communications, with a strong foundation in digital marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for assisting all marketing & communication efforts for Carmine’s, ensuring that both the restaurant and the market shine, attract customers, and become staples in the local community. Additional responsibilities include: digital marketing (social media content), product marketing (new and seasonal items), and organizing events. The role reports to the Marketing/Communications Manager and together the team will uphold the high standards of quality and service that Carmine's is known for.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of Carmine’s marketing and communications plan for the US market, keeping both the restaurant and the market at the heart of the story.
  • Digital Marketing: Assist in managing all social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, etc.), create content that highlights our dining experience, market products, and Italian lifestyle.
  • Retail & Product Marketing: Promote seasonal products, new arrivals, and special offers from the market through creative campaigns and in-store activations.
  • PR & Influencer Relations: Build strong relationships with local press, influencers, and partners to generate buzz and brand love.
  • Events & Activations: Organize tastings, workshops, pop-up events, and seasonal celebrations that bring people together and showcase our Italian heritage.
  • Website & E-commerce: Follow up on website updates, SEO, and ensure our online presence reflects the energy of the physical space.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze marketing KPIs for both the restaurant and the market, adjusting strategies to maximize results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, creative, and retail teams to align on messaging and campaigns.

Required:

  • 2 plus years’ experience in marketing, communications, or retail marketing, ideally in hospitality, lifestyle, or food-related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of both hospitality marketing and retail/product marketing.
  • Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to adapt tone and content to different audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing tools.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to bring fresh ideas to both restaurant and market promotions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Passion for Italian food, culture, and creating memorable guest experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
