Nobleboro Central School is seeking a Night Facilities employee to perform routine manual work in cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining the school, in a 40-hour-a-week position (Monday-Friday 2-10 pm).<br><br><strong>Responsibilities And Duties Include But Are Not Limited To<br><br></strong><ul><li>Cleaning assigned areas of the facility, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas</li><li>Perform general maintenance tasks related to the upkeep and operation of the facility</li><li>Sees to the general security of the facility during regular shift, making sure doors are locked and secured, etc.</li><li>May take part in any or all parts of snow removal: shoveling, snow blowing, sand/salt treatment of walkways</li><li>During summer months, performs total cleaning and general maintenance of the building </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time</li><li>Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling</li><li>Occasional crawling, sitting, stooping</li><li>Working conditions may require exposure to cold or warm temperatures for extended periods of time</li><li>Report any building maintenance concerns that require additional support to the Facilities supervisor<br><br></li></ul><strong>Language Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</li><li>Speak effectively with parents, staff, and community members<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maine Criminal History Records Check (Provided by the AOS 93 School Department)</li><li>Some knowledge of use and handling of cleaning and disinfecting chemicals and equipment</li><li>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers</li><li>Maintain a generally professional and positive attitude<br><br></li></ul><strong>Terms of Employment</strong>: This is an hourly position, year-to-year basis, as recommended by the principal, superintendent of schools, and school board.<br><br>Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
