Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Server to join our team in a vibrant dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha POS system or OpenTable.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, including specials and dietary options.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their meal.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately while adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns.
  • Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and menu knowledge.
  • Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables and ensure prompt service during busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or as a server is preferred but not required.
  • Strong math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations is beneficial for effective communication with culinary staff.
  • A positive attitude with strong sales skills to enhance the guest experience through upselling menu items.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
