Position SummaryThe Production Trainee is responsible for carrying out all routine operations and operating equipment within the plant.OwnershipSafely operate all production machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, hoses, etc.Manually handle cased goods around manufacturing area.Follow all safety rules and requirements and GMP guidelines.Weigh and prepare raw materials for processing.Provide coverage for line operators during assigned rest periods.Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.Work with fellow operators as a team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment problems.Perform general housekeeping and plant clean up as needed.Responsible for accurately documenting production activities and submitting required paperwork.Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.Invest in and is an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.Required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel for much of assigned shift.Must have the ability to stay at work station and area for three continuous hours.Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Comfortable being exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
