Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach deeply engaged audiences.<br /> Our Team<br /> The Data Clean Room team at Netflix is a crucial part of our Ads Platform, dedicated to building upon existing privacy enhancing technologies to support our world-class advertising ecosystem. Our mission is to develop advanced data clean room solutions that ensure exceptional experiences for both our members and advertisers, while upholding the highest standards of privacy. Our responsibilities are focused on privacy preserving data collaboration efforts with advertisers and partners. This includes building core ads data infrastructure and clean room capabilities that span across targeting, measurement, attribution, audience, and data onboarding.<br /> The Role<br /> As a Software Engineer on the Data Clean Room team, you will play a crucial role in building privacy preserving Data Clean Room solutions that empower key Netflix ads capabilities throughout the ads lifecycle. Our roles come with expectations of delivering in a rapid clip, comfort with lofty goals and big ambitions, the visibility that comes with strategic initiatives, and responsibility and an appetite to operate like a startup within an established company.<br /> As a Software Engineer L6, you will:<br /> • Act as a Data Clean Room thought leader for the team and beyond - driving longer-term technical strategy for the team.<br /> • Identify and solve highly complex, open-ended or ambiguous problems with significant business and technical impact.<br /> • Deliver a variety of artifacts including code, algorithms, designs, prototypes, strategies, or architectures that lead to system simplification, better efficiency, higher impact to stakeholders, or faster time to delivery.<br /> • Collaborate with dependent teams to drive cross-functional platform-wide impact.<br /> • Use deep technical knowledge to provide leadership on Netflix's most challenging business and/or technical problems.<br /> • Scale impact by appropriately delegating work and providing support to others.<br /> • Take a strategic approach to solving technical problems, optimizing for Netflix's best interest.<br /> • Teach and reinforce Netflix values and behaviors, fostering psychological safety.<br /> • Operate as an ambassador of the Netflix Culture<br /> <br /> Skills & experience we're seeking:<br /> • Strong experience building integrations with data clean rooms to support multi-party data sharing for ads use-cases, especially those supporting audience onboarding, targeting, measurement, etc.<br /> • Proficiency with building future proof control plane entity models and API integrations.<br /> • Working knowledge of data minimization/anonymization/pseudonymization techniques, Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PET), confidential computing, trusted infrastructure, privacy-preserving modeling and inference.<br /> • Understanding of how data clean rooms integrate with identity graphs, audience onboarding, and measurement systems.<br /> • 10+ years of total experience with 5+ years of technical lead experience in diverse software engineering teams.<br /> • Strong understanding of regional privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and data governance best practices.<br /> • Familiarity with digital advertising, adtech/martech ecosystems, and regulatory landscape.<br /> • Worked closely with ad operations to enable campaign setup, measurement, targeting, reporting, and advertiser needs.<br /> Technical Expertise:<br /> • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Spark for querying and analyzing large datasets.<br /> • Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).<br /> • Understanding of privacy-preserving techniques (e.g., encryption, federated learning, synthetic data).<br /> • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.<br /> • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and marketing teams.<br /> • Experience working with advertisers, publishers, or clean room technology providers.<br /> • Experience with audience activation or measurement, and privacy-safe data collaboration.<br /> Nice to haves:<br /> • Contributed to ads industry technology standards (e.g. OPJA) or worked on an industry consortium effort, working group etc.<br /> • Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of its unique constraints<br /> Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $230,000 - $960,000.<br /> Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.
