<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The primary responsibility of the Director of Finance and Legal IT Systems is to provide strategic direction, planning and support of all internally facing Finance and Legal enterprise applications for Cloudflare. The Director is responsible for understanding the needs of the various Finance and Legal departments and building relationships with the different department leaders. Additionally, the Director is responsible for building strategic relationships with the technology partners / vendors and for creating technology roadmaps for future application enhancements and upgrades. </p> <p>Technologists in the Finance and Legal IT department have deep levels of understanding in their various areas of expertise, including systems functionality and business processes, and as such they provide critical application support to the departments. The Director is responsible for ensuring high performance outcomes from these resources and that the needs of the organization are being met or exceeded. Emphasis on business partnering, business value, quality of service, and system integrity and stability is critical while working to optimize the total cost of ownership in application maintenance and support.</p> <p>What you’ll do</p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Oversee the planning of strategic technology projects and programs for the FInance and Legal organizations, building relationships with FInance and Legal to ensure success and stakeholder satisfaction. Areas include: <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Order to Cash</li> <li>Record to Report</li> <li>Procurement to Pay</li> <li>Contracts Lifecycle Management</li> </ul> </li> <li>Lead, Coach and Mentor a technology team responsible for the FInance and Legal IT organization initiatives </li> <li>Partner with business stakeholders to understand the business goals and define the strategic technology vision</li> <li>Manage strategic technology activities and operations for the Finance and Legal orgs in line with SDLC process, including requirement specifications, UAT testing, vendor SLA oversight and feedback</li> <li>Keep abreast of emerging technologies, including AI, to ensure that Finance and Legal maintains a best-in-class suite of technology solutions</li> <li>Working with department leaders, directs strategic planning for Finance and Legal IT  roadmap for Cloudflare.</li> <li>Ensures overall technical performance of Finance and Legal business processes, and works with functional heads and process owners maintain end-to-end process performance, enhancements and KPI health</li> <li>Manage global implementation and upgrades of integrated Finance and Legal systems (both inter-and cross-divisionally)</li> <li>Provide program and project status updates for relevant Finance and Legal technology initiatives and work with relevant teams, including technology teams and cross-divisional stakeholders, to ensure Finance and Legal Tech projects are on track</li> <li>Promote continued development of program management capabilities</li> <li>Lead Quarterly Business Reviews of Finance and Legal IT initiatives for business stakeholders. </li> <li>Oversee the organizational design of the Finance and Legal IT team to better scale the current team and provide optimal support for our business stakeholders</li> <li>Provides leadership and direction in the management of Cloudflare Financial and Legal systems.</li> <li>Builds and participates in governance forums to bring end-to-end thinking across functional departments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Bachelor Degree in Technology, Information Systems, Analysis, Business or relevant experience.</li> <li>10+ years managing and delivering IT services and projects in a software application technology environment.</li> <li>5+ years leading technology teams that implement and administer Procure to Pay, Contract Management, Order to Cash and Record to Report systems. </li> <li>Experience in a public software company environment under SOX compliance requirements.</li> <li>Prior experience building and leading teams in an agile manner who tackle complex problems and perform broad technology implementations.</li> <li>Knowledge of enterprise application support and implementation.</li> <li>Knowledge of end-to-end business processes in a software technology environment</li> <li>Broad based leadership and general business management experience gained in a variety of assignments, functions, and business environments including distributed team and remote management</li> <li>Broad understanding of technology and technology evaluation techniques.</li> <li>Analysis and creative problem solving techniques.</li> <li>Working knowledge of technology security and best practices.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to stay current with technology trends and assess business value.</li> <li>High accountability and ownership, and ability to achieve outcomes leading by influence and partnership, even when not everything may be in your direct control.</li> <li>Netsuite, Oracle Cloud and/or SAP experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus</strong>:</p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Experience in a high growth environment</li> <li>Used to working in a strong engineering driven culture, with fast delivery cycles where requirements tend to be fluid </li> </ul>
