About the Role
Waffle Kart are looking for energetic and reliable Street Food Assistants to join our team on matchdays at the Etihad Stadium (22-40 days per annum, shift length 8-10 hours). We are known for our pickle-brined fried chicken and buttermilk waffles, with a focus on fresh and authentic cooking. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment frying chicken using commercial fryers, serving our loyal football fans, and keeping service running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Frying up chicken to perfection
  • Keeping the pace during those crazy matchday rushes
  • Working as part of a team that’s all about energy & efficiency
  • Staying on top of food safety standards
  • General cleaning - closing down the unit, loading stock in and out

What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience working the fryers in a fast food, street food, or quick-service kitchen
✅ Good knowledge of food safety practices
✅ Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work at pace

✅ Flexibility as time/date of matches can change at short notice

Desirable
⭐ Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

Additional Opportunities
This role is part-time, but for those looking for more hours, full-time shifts are available between November 7th – December 22nd at our Christmas Market stall on King Street, Manchester City Centre. (Up to 45 hours)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 45 per week
