Job DetailsJob LocationLa Jara Dental Clinic - La Jara, COPosition TypeFull TimeSalary Range$16.00 - $20.00 HourlyJoin Our Team at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc.We're looking for Support Staff team members who are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities:Patient Interaction & Front Desk SupportGreet patients warmly and professionally, whether in person or over the phone. Complete patient check-in and monitor waiting area, offering assistance with basic needs and questions. Check patients out promptly to ensure accurate tracking of appointments. Confirm daily appointments and assist with scheduling follow-ups. Direct patients to Patient Representatives for financial assistance. Schedule appointments with Financial Eligibility staff as needed. Educate patients on the medical home model of care, provider designation, and care team structure. Provide support staff coverage at other clinics within the same service line as needed (medical, dental, or behavioral health).Administrative & Operational SupportVerify and print provider schedules throughout the day. Respond to internal requests from clinics, departments, and partner organizations. Complete inbox, email, and EHR task responses in a timely manner. Clear out uncollected patient medications and documents weekly. Verify insurance coverage and co-pays, and audit daily encounters. Actively participate in monthly clinic meetings.Payment Collection & ReconciliationCollect payments and make bank deposits according to cashier protocols. Reconcile daily cash collections and maintain organized cash drawers. Reference and utilize the fee schedule appropriately. Process cash, check, and credit card payments for insurance co-pays, sliding fee, and private pay patients.Qualification & Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. BLS certification/training will be provided upon employment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills in both personal and phone interactions.
