GovSignals has built the most advanced government-contracting AI platform available. From small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises, our platform multiplies the opportunities contractors can pursue and empowers them to deliver fully compliant, winning proposals in hours instead of months. As one of the largest aggregators of U.S. government data, we set trends rather than follow them.

Talent & Ops Lead (DC-based)

We are searching for a hands-on Talent & Ops Lead who will own our people engine while driving critical business operations. Your primary focus will be on recruiting, HR infrastructure, and employee enablement, while also guiding company-wide operational support under direct founder direction. You will report to the CEO, move quickly from insight to execution, and act as a force multiplier for the entire team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People, Recruiting, and Culture

  • Run full-cycle recruiting from pipeline creation through offer acceptance, targeting a 48-hour turnaround on decisions

  • Lead weekly one-on-ones with every employee to surface needs, unblock challenges, and boost engagement

  • Manage benefits, payroll changes, and reimbursements, ensuring same-week resolution

  • Maintain and evolve the employee handbook, org chart, delegated-authority matrix, and policy library

  • Track federal-contract reporting and compliance items (SAM, JCO, SPRS, PIEE, WAWF, etc.) and coordinate annual refreshes

Company Ops Enablement:

  • Build and distribute weekly metrics dashboards covering critical company-wide metrics

  • Partner with founders on quarterly financial reports and investor updates

  • Oversee vendor contract administration and onboarding

  • Coordinate part-time contractors such as external recruiters and bookkeepers

  • Identify and automate inefficient workflows across the business

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years blending People Ops and BizOps at venture-backed startups under 50 employees

  • Proven success hiring top technical talent in high-growth environments

  • Expertise with modern HR and Ops stacks (Central, Ashby, Puzzle, etc.)

  • Comfort owning basic GAAP reporting and investor-facing KPI packages

  • Track record of rolling out processes in weeks, not months, with measurable sustained impact

  • Empathetic communicator who can switch between board-level strategy and tactical enablement for the team

  • We don’t want a robot, we want a system thinker with empathy and a willingness to come alongside folks on the team and enable them to be even more effective.

Why Join GovSignals

  • Top-tier compensation for top-tier talent

  • Premium benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and unlimited PTO

  • Work fully remote with flexible hours and a modern tech stack

  • Shape the team culture and operational heartbeat of a fast-moving AI company serving the GovCon community

  • Join a mission-driven crew that is redefining government contracting while advancing American innovation and security
