TENDER TRUCK DRIVER

Job Description:

To deliver agriculture pesticides and fertilizers to crop fields that are to be applied by the custom applicator, deliver agronomy products, assist in grain department and work with customers in a safe manner that maximizes departmental effectiveness.

Job Duties:

  • Perform daily trip and monthly truck inspections
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear proper PPE when required
  • Operate tender trucks in a safe manner and deliver products to the correct location
  • Maintain agronomy equipment
  • Blend / load liquid, dry and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to recommendations
  • Achieve accurate and efficient unloading and delivery of products
  • Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed in the field or in the shop
  • Assist in grain department when needed
  • Customer service is our priority: Serve patron in a manner that promotes our company, promotes customer service and delivers our patrons the services they need to succeed with their operations.
  • Work overtime as required
  • Perform any other task requested by your supervisor

Education / Experience

Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of semi trucks. Farm back ground preferred as well as a working knowledge and general understanding of machine operations and maintenance. Strong preference given to someone interested in learning to operate custom application equipment.

Language Skills:

Applicant must be able to read and comprehend instructions and directions, effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.

Mathematical Skills:

Calculating figures and amounts such as acres, gallons, tons, ounces.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to identify problems and understand road layouts to determine the best routes from field to field.

Certificates and Licenses: Class A CDL. Haz-Mat and tanker endorsement preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
