About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Transcriber to join our Administrative team. As a Transcriber, you will play a crucial role in converting audio or video recordings into accurate and well-structured written documents. This hourly, full-time position is ideal for someone who demonstrates exceptional listening skills, a strong command of the English language, and a commitment to accuracy. If you're passionate about creating clear and reliable records, we'd love to have you on our team.

What You'll Do

  • Listen to audio and video recordings and transcribe content into written text.
  • Ensure transcription accuracy, correct spelling, and proper grammar usage in English.
  • Format transcriptions to be clear, organized, and easy to read.
  • Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with team members or departments to understand specific formatting or content requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously.
  • Provide feedback or suggestions to improve transcription processes or tools.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Proven experience in transcription or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to work with audio and video files, including distinguishing speakers and enhancing audio clarity.
  • Proficient in transcription software and tools or the willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in transcription or related skills are a plus.
