Overview:

Wayfair’s Cabinetry team is seeking creative, driven, empathetic, and entrepreneurial design sales consultants to join one of our newest offerings. This virtual role will be instrumental in helping customers envision and create kitchens they’ll love, offering recommendations aligned with their budget, style, and space needs. As part of our founding cabinetry design team, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences and shaping the way customers engage with Wayfair. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Expertise: Leverage your interior and kitchen design expertise to help navigate our customers through their design needs and purchases
  • Guide the Purchase Process: Lead customers through the custom cabinetry purchasing process: functional 3D renderings, requesting samples from manufacturers, placing orders for the customer, and upselling compatible products. You’ll use key questions with customers that allow you to provide a complete sales solution for their needs
  • Use Multiple Tools: Navigate through multiple software applications, 3rd party and proprietary tools to provide customers with recommendations for their budget, style and space as well as manage customer ordering and customers post order questions.
  • Create Functional Designs: Develop detailed, functional 3D kitchen renderings based on customer sketches, planning guides, or blueprints using 2020 Design Software
  • Meet a High Performance Bar: Meet or exceed your sales, customer satisfaction targets and other established KPIs
  • Manage Time Efficiently: Prioritize customer experience while managing your time to meet project deadlines
  • Contribute Ideas and Adapt: Bring a willingness to share innovative ideas and solutions to continuously improve team operations while thriving in a dynamic environment with frequent change.
  • Ensure a Top Tier Customer Experience: Engage customers with a high degree of empathy and professionalism in ways that ensure great Net Promoter Scores (NPS) for you and Wayfair



What You’ll Need (Required):

  • Remote Technology Proficiency: Experience using technology to drive business results, pivot and ramp on new software or programs quickly.
  • Cabinetry Sales & Design Experience: 3+ years of previous cabinetry sales & design experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a fast paced and rapidly changing sales environment.
  • Software Proficiency: 3+ years of experience using 2020 Design Live knowledge and experience for enhanced project visualization and streamlined design processes.
  • Design Knowledge: Understanding of basic design principles, including spatial planning, fabric selection, interior design styles, and trends
  • Background or Education: Experience in cabinetry, kitchen, interior design with subject matter expertise gained from education, previous roles, or skilled trades.
  • Top Tier Customer Experience: You’ll need strong focus and a sense of urgency on delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organization, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Internet Requirements: Ability to maintain a hardwired internet connection with speeds of 25+ Mbps download and 5+ Mbps upload for voice and web traffic (no WiFi)
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to contribute to the success of team members and collaborate effectively
  • Private Workspace: This is a work from home position where you will be working virtually. A private and dedicated workspace free of any distractions (roommates, children, spouses, pets, etc.) or noise (radio, tv, etc.) Wayfair will provide the equipment needed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new business systems quickly

  • Sales Experience: 5+ years of sales experience specifically within kitchen or interior design spaces
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Compensation: This position includes a base salary of $50,000 per year, as well as a monthly performance-based bonus structure. The expected range of all-in earnings to be discussed during the interview.
