About the position

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions in line with existing program curriculum.
  • Partner with program mentors to align classroom instruction with practical on-the-job training experiences.
  • Oversee and update training materials to ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
  • Develop additional training materials as needed to enhance the program and address emerging training requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of FARs and all applicable FAA regulations to guide training content and classroom discussions.
  • Implement effective instructional strategies that engage students and facilitate learning and skill development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain organized records of training sessions, student performance, and curriculum updates.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment that promotes participation and professional growth.
  • Assist and collaborate with other ACE instructors to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Ensure classroom safety and compliance with safety regulations and practices.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Operations and program leaders to address training needs and align with program objectives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to incorporate relevant information into training programs.
  • Assist with accreditation processes and ensure regulatory compliance documentation is up-to-date.

Requirements

  • A&P Certification is a must
  • 5+ years of recent, continuous aircraft maintenance experience
  • 3+ years of experience in aviation instruction
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications
  • High level of familiarization with FAA procedures and regulations
  • Ability to instruct, mentor and control classes of up to 25 students in various environments
  • Prepare and demonstrate proper aviation tool usage and safety practices
  • Prepare projects, lessons, tests, quizzes and grade
  • Update and maintain training documentation to ensure compliance
  • Access, run and distribute reports
  • Assist learners as necessary
  • Work to maintain audit readiness for departments
  • Assist in maintaining training budget & billing for departments
  • May require work outside of normal hours and a flexible schedule
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in and around aircraft in various positions
