About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NDT Test Examiner 3 to join our Safety and Mission Assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and compliance of nondestructive testing (NDT) processes. You will be responsible for training, examining, and certifying NDT personnel, and ensuring all testing meets internal and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Radiography and Liquid Dye Penetrant inspections.
  • Operate both film and digital radiographic systems.
  • Certify and evaluate NDT personnel per NAS 410 / ASNT standards.
  • Provide Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior NDT inspectors.
  • Review engineering documentation, inspection plans, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure ISO and quality compliance.
  • Generate nonconformance reports for inspection discrepancies.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other digital tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Travel occasionally for testing and inspection assignments.

Basic Qualifications
  • Level 3 certification in Radiography and Liquid Dye Penetrant (NAS 410 / ASNT).
  • Proficient in evaluating radiographic film and digital images.
  • Strong understanding of NAS 410 standards.
  • Experience in technical writing and communication.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with TipQA and/or Costpoint systems.
  • Additional certifications in Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Prior experience with DCMA audits.
  • Background in ISO-certified environments.
  • Ability to assess configuration compliance (as-built vs. as-designed).
