A rapidly growing, fully remote business advisory firm serving small to mid-sized businesses is seeking a Remote Senior Accountant with strong client-facing skills. Some tax preparation during tax season required but very lite. Must have recent experience in a CPA or business advisory firm.

Job Description

Our client is a rapidly growing, fully remote business advisory firm serving small to mid-sized businesses. The team focuses on helping business owners create companies that work for them—not the other way around. The firm is paperless, tech-forward, and deeply engaged with clients beyond standard compliance work.

About the Role:
This is a client-facing role supporting small business clients with full-cycle accounting and financial advisory. The right candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping clients understand their numbers, improve operations, and make better decisions. This is more than bookkeeping—this is high-touch client support in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-cycle accounting support, including reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and month-end close
  • Maintain and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
  • Prepare and review financial statements; identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Coach clients on using QuickBooks Desktop/Online effectively
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Support or participate in business advisory engagements
  • Tax preparation experience is needed to assist during tax season

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent experience in a CPA or business advisory firm (required)
  • Experience working directly with small to mid-sized business clients
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow within a firm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online/Desktop (certification preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a dedicated home office
