We are Gamescribes, a company in Los Angeles that provides linguistic testing services for video games. For example, that means that after a game is translated into Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese, we have Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese testers come in to play the game and make sure everything looks perfect. This is NOT full-time work. Our clients will order how many days of testing they need (it might be 3 days, might be 3 weeks), and then it might be weeks until the next testing project. We do this for many languages, and right now could use additional testers in the following languages:

German
Spanish (Spain)
Polish
Arabic
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Japanese
Korean

The main criterion of our testers is that they are not only fluent, but have spent significant time living in the region they test. For example, if we are testing Polish for regional expressions, we would need someone who has lived there. For example we want to get the perspective of a Japanese player in Japan. So, the main skills required are as follows:

1) Expert in the language we are testing
2) Knows how to read and write for target language and solid English for communication
3) Proficient with computers and programs like Excel
4) Video games experience is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 per hour
