CUSTOMER FULFILLMENT SPECIALIST

Job Title: Customer Fulfillment Specialist | Department: Sales & Services | Reports to: General Manager | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Customer Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for building strong relationships with both external customers and internal teams through responsive communication, adequate follow-up/feedback, and fulfillment of the sales order cycle. This role requires a customer-centric and highly motivated team member who can understand and grasp UPC products and processes and effectively communicate this information to customers. This role is primarily external-facing but requires interaction with internal team members from multiple departments across various roles to ensure the timely fulfillment of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tracking of fulfillment activities on a timely and accurate basis, including but not limited to initial quoting, supplier qualifications, order processing, delivery notification, and communication on any outstanding action items.
  • Enter orders, communicate new product setups, update delivery/recovery dates, track progress and completion, and enter activities/correspondences in the SAP ERP system
  • Build relationships with assigned customers, address issues and concerns, provide responsive feedback and solutions after analyzing order progress
  • Interact with internal teams, such as manufacturing, quality, purchasing, engineering, and finance, to ensure a continual flow of sales orders through the pipeline.
  • Strive to become an expert in UPC products to provide customers with accurate information on products
  • Identify areas for business growth and opportunities, including market trends and customer feedback.
  • Measures product demand or prepares forecasts based on pending or historical orders and develops purchasing, inventory, or production plans to ensure that orders can be fulfilled.
  • Efficiently manage time to focus on shifting priorities that will ensure seamless and timely delivery of orders
  • Develop and share best practices with team members to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our processes
  • Maintains records of correspondence, identifies trends, and suggests product/service revisions based on recurring questions or complaints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring to United Precision Corporation:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer success, order fulfillment, and/or account management
  • Possess strong phone, written, and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Well-organized, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and escalate when needed
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work and excel in a small, growing, and fast-paced company environment

Preferred

  • Prior experience within the aerospace and/or defense industries
  • Experience working with senior and executive-level customers

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in an office/warehouse environment with frequent interruptions and irregular work schedules. No special coordination beyond those used for normal mobility, handling of everyday objects and materials, and use of office equipment is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
