Peninsula opened its first Canadian office in Toronto in September 2017 and has quickly become one of the fastest growing companies.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>The Role of Head of Field Sales - West</u></strong></p><p>The Head of Field Sales provides ongoing coaching and leadership to the Business Development Managers (BDM) who are responsible for prospecting new accounts. The Head of Field Sales will also contribute to the direction of sales practice, processes and measures.</p><p><br></p><p>As the Head of Field Sales you will manage and support the day to day activities of BDMs to help drive key sales metrics of sales, units and overall Peninsula Business objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Develop, implement and execute effective sales strategies for the Sales team</li><li>Ensure BDMs maintain consistent performance against their assigned Performance Metrics</li><li>Conduct weekly and monthly Business review meetings and provide key measures and performance metrics for the senior leadership team</li><li>Lead team meetings, conducts 1 on 1 meetings and individual learning and development</li><li>Understanding of key activity and to be able to resource and adjust team availability to meet meeting and client requirements</li><li>Join meetings (onsite/virtual) to help coach and develop BDM, assist in the sales cycle to ensure we improve our conversion ratios</li><li>Minimum of 50 ride alongs per quarter with BDMs</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Leadership</u></strong></p><ul><li>Recruit, coach and develop staff. Monitor and measure sales activity, establish performance objectives and provide feedback, recognize and reward performance and motivate the team.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Pipeline/Activity Management</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensures that BDMs follow up on daily opportunities and continue to drive new business, client referral leads and cold calling metrics to achieve the daily/weekly/monthly targets</li><li>Working with Digital Marketing – tracking performance – conversion ratio, lead type priority and overall sales performance</li><li>Working with Events Team on local and national events to help drive sales from events or Partners</li><li>Ensuring contract or any discount (working closely with finance), paperwork or non- standard requests are properly reviewed and vetted</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>What you Bring to the Team</u></strong></p><ul><li>Enjoys working in a fast paced, highly rewarding team environment</li><li>10+ years sales experience in prospecting, developing and closing leads for new business</li><li>10+ years in sales management experience leading a team</li><li>Experience in HR, HR Technology, software sales or other consulting related fields</li><li>Proven track record in SMB and Commercial/Mid-market sales with B2B outside sales</li><li>Independent decision making and accountability for execution of business objectives for all areas of responsibility</li><li>Thorough understanding of client’s needs, strong understanding of internal policy and procedures and strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Salesforce experience an asset.
