Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Location: Near Wichita, KS
Schedule: Full-time, three nights per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend, rotating holidays
Salary: $30 - $58 per hour (based on experience) + Additional pay for BSN
Shift Differentials: $2.00/hr evenings | $2.50/hr nights | $2.70/hr weekends
Sign-On & Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for a 1-year commitment | $10,000 for a 2-year commitment
Benefits: Comprehensive package including $5,000 per year in tuition reimbursement


About the Role


Join a non-profit acute care hospital with fewer than 50 beds, where patient care comes first. As an RN, you’ll provide high-quality nursing care in a supportive environment with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 (often lower). Depending on census, additional nursing support (RNs or CNAs) may be available.


What You’ll Do

  • Deliver direct patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring compassionate, high-quality treatment.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings in real time, and update patient communication boards.
  • Monitor patient conditions, including telemetry, lab results, and vital signs—escalate concerns to providers, charge nurses, or house supervisors as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols.
  • Educate patients and families throughout the shift, ensuring understanding of care plans and medical instructions.
  • Utilize AIDET communication principles to enhance patient experience and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions in patient care.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school.
  • 6 months to 1 year of nursing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
