The golf instructor will instruct Topgolf Guests in golf skills in individual lessons or in groups, manage Topgolf leagues, tournaments and player development series. The golf instructor will be responsible for scheduling lessons and will manage and develop coaching and sales skills in the Lead Instructors.<br><br><strong>Compensation:</strong> Base salary of $42,500–$56,000, plus competitive monthly commission. This role also offers full benefits, a 401(k) with company match, and a generous PTO package.<br><br>How You’ll Do It<br><br><ul><li>Coordinate, schedule and maintain Guest lessons</li><li>Utilize swing analysis technology and learning theories, and integrate teaching aids in all programs</li><li>Grow the golf instruction platform at your venue, through marketing and community outreach</li><li>Direct tournaments and summer camps</li><li>Work with the events team to promote and teach lessons at events</li><li>Walk the tee line on all levels during peak times (when not engaged in golf instruction) to market platform / give impromptu lessons</li><li>Supervise information requests regarding or pertaining to schedule of lessons and instructional series.</li><li>Manage and implement ideas for player development series at venue level</li><li>Manage club fitting, club repair and general maintenance of equipment</li><li>Maintain inventory of golf services tools, technology and teaching aids</li><li>Meet budgetary requirements for the golf services program<br><br><br></li></ul>What We’re Looking For<br><br><ul><li>2-3 years’ experience teaching golf lessons with experience coaching different levels of golfers</li><li>2-3 previous sales experience required </li><li>PGA Membership; Class A Certification preferred</li><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li><li>Management of an independent golf lesson program </li><li>Proven track record of successful instruction</li><li>Exceptional coaching ability </li><li>Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with all Topgolf Guests</li><li>Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technology </li><li>Ability to develop positive and ongoing relationships with Guests</li><li>Excellent communication, time management and organization skills</li><li>Ability to work on a team</li><li>Energy and enthusiasm</li><li>A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity</li><li>Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time</li><li>Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs <br><br><br></li></ul>ADA<br><br>The above statements cover what are generally believed to be principal and essential functions of the job.
