<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Payroll/Accounting Specialist with a strong background in payroll administration and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll processing and a solid understanding of financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliation. The position is based in Rolling Meadows, IL, with a hybrid work schedule.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Details:</strong></p><p>Title: Payroll/Accounting Specialist</p><p>Location: Rolling Meadows, IL</p><p>Salary: $65,000–$70,000</p><p>Position Type: Direct Hire</p><p>Worksite Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite)</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><em>Payroll Functions:</em></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles</li><li>Calculate and withhold federal/state income taxes, Social Security, unemployment, and workers’ compensation</li><li>Manage employee deductions and PTO transactions using ADP Workforce Now</li><li>Handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments</li><li>Maintain accurate records of vacation and other time-off data</li><li>Prepare payroll reimbursement check requests and journal entries</li><li>Review and verify payroll reports for accuracy</li><li>Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax filings</li><li>Support special payroll-related projects as assigned</li></ul><p><em>Accounting Functions:</em></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with GAAP</li><li>Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports</li><li>Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts</li><li>Support month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of payroll administration experience</li><li>At least two years of experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software</li><li>Experience with AP/AR and general accounting practices</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>High level of professionalism and integrity</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
